My work in professional music and sound for media goes back over 10 years, with a mix of credits from bespoke music to library music, production to post production audio, and linear to interactive storytelling. While these roles employ very different skills, I think drawing upon my experiences in all of them means I can provide the right sound for any project, working across the whole soundtrack or in collaboration with others.
Currently I score bespoke music for TV and short film projects and work as a dubbing mixer on mainstream TV and short form animation in Bristol. I am based in a private studio off Stokes Croft and am nominated for an RTS West Of England award for original composition in 2019.
I'm a multi-instrumentalist (piano, drums, guitars and trombone, with a studio full of other instruments from around the world) and am classically trained, with a 1st class degree in music composition. As well as classical and popular styles, I compose electronic music, jazz, avant-garde, ambient, 'world' music, and many other styles to suit various projects. My high-end studio is set up both for post production work, and for music production and recording.
I'm always keen to take on exciting projects, getting out of my comfort zone and working in new ways with new people. Wherever possible I suggest getting in contact at the pre-production stage, as the benefits of integrating sound and music into a project early on are incredible. It would be impossible to provide examples of all of my work on this website, so please also feel free to get in touch and I can dig through the vaults for examples of other pieces.
